JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 6, 2022) – JAXUSL, the group bringing professional men’s and women’s USL soccer to Northeast Florida, will host three World Cup Watch Parties on the First Coast, featuring the U.S. Men’s National Team Group Stage matches in November. The free World Cup Watch Parties, presented by AVL Productions and Five Sisters Vodka, and supported by the St. Johns County Chamber, will be held at three Northeast Florida venues – The Link in Nocatee, Culhane’s Irish Pub in Tinseltown and Intuition Ale Work’s Bier Hall in the Stadium District.
Soccer fans throughout the First Coast community are invited to join JAXUSL at the watch parties at The Link against Wales on Monday, Nov. 21; at Culhane’s for the match versus England on Friday, Nov. 25; and at Intuition for the final group stage match against Iran on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
JAXUSL President & CEO Steve Livingstone said, “We know Northeast Florida soccer fans and players of all ages are passionate about the game. That’s why we are excited to bring them together during our inaugural World Cup watch parties at three signature venues across the First Coast. We encourage all soccer supporters to join us as we cheer on the U.S. Men’s National Team to victory in the group stages of the World Cup.”
All World Cup watch parties will start with pre-match events beginning at noon or 1 p.m. (see schedule below) and match action prior to the broadcast kickoffs exclusively on FOX 30 at 2 p.m. Each event will feature food and drink specials, merchandise raffles and opportunities to win additional prizes. Proceeds raised from the events will benefit the YMCA’s Youth Soccer Program to support healthy kids, families and communities through healthy competition, team-building and the value of participation over winning.
